REAL BLUES:#1 West Coast Blues/Rock Band

| Rose City Kings are winners in several categories in the 11th Annual Real Blues Awards, which cover artists, CDs, and DVDs in 2004 in Canada and the United States. In June 2004, during its second year as a band, Rose City Kings released UP ON IT, which quickly followed up on its acclaimed debut album, Delta Hop (2003). Real Blues ranks UP ON IT as #4 in its listing of 2004's Top West Coast Blues CDs. UP ON IT is the highest ranked, self-sponsored CD by an independent act on the list of Top West Coast CDs. Moreover, UP ON IT is the winner of the award for the Best West Coast CD in the Blues/Rock category. As importantly, Rose City Kings was named the #1 West Coast Blues/Rock Band, in a tie with Steve Fister. At the regional level, Rose City Kings was named the Best Pacific North-West Blues Band for 2004. Real Blues, is a bi-monthly and extensive guide to live and recorded blues, soul and gospel music. According to Real Blues Magazine, ". . . we are free from hidden interests in the artists we choose for REAL BLUES AWARDS. . . . Blues should be free from corruption, deceit, influence peddling and hype-inflated artists...."
