Tickets Sold Out for Missippi Show
March 30, 2005
On Friday April 1, 2005, Rose City Kings will perform a special show to record live their music for a crowd filled to capacity at Mississippi Studios in Northeast Portland. As Rose City Kings fans know, their albums "Delta Hop" and "UP ON IT " are fabulous and deserve heavy rotation on any CD player, but nothing compares to the fun and excitement of hearing Rose City Kings live. So, RCK plans to capture that feeling at the intimate Mississippi studios, where the audience will witness and be a part of the live recording experience.
Tickets have sold out for this special show. "Our fans have always come through for us when we needed them. It's going to be a fun recording session, " said Roger E., RCK's drummer.
Just as Rose City Kings is pleased with the fan support for this special show, the early ticket sell out does come as a bit of a surprise. "Because of the intimacy of the venue and the nature of the show, we really held back our usual methods of advertising. Once we got the details set, though, word seemed to spread like wild fire," said Jeff Simonson, pianist.
"We are very excited about a recording session with a live audience. You know me, I just want to get up there and play!," said Dan "Kingbee" Berkery, lead singer and guitarist.
Rose City Kings has other special events in the works, so check back regularly for more information on the band or join our e-mail list through this website, http://www.rosecitykings.com/member/
NOTE: Photos from the release party will be posted on this site.
